What is a clinical trial?
A clinical trial is a research study involving people. It follows a plan, called a protocol, to answer questions about health or a research intervention. A study treatment may be investigational and may not help you.
What happens after I contact EPCT?
Our team contacts you using the information you provide. We discuss available opportunities and explain any appropriate screening steps. You decide whether to continue.
What is informed consent?
The team explains the purpose, procedures, possible risks and benefits, alternatives, and your rights. You can ask questions and take time to decide before agreeing to participate. Consent is an ongoing conversation.
Can I choose not to participate or leave a study?
Yes. Participation is voluntary. You can decline or leave a study. Ask the study team about follow-up or safety steps if you decide to stop.
Do studies cost money?
Costs depend on the study. Ask which research procedures are covered, whether any usual-care costs remain, and whether insurance is involved. Confirm the details before deciding.
Will I be paid?
Some studies offer compensation or reimburse expenses. Amounts, timing, and conditions vary by study. Ask the team for the approved details; a website inquiry does not guarantee payment.
Should I send my medical history online?
Please use our public interest form for contact details only. Do not send diagnoses, medication lists, medical records, or identification documents through that form. The research team will explain the appropriate screening process.
Is Spanish-language support available?
